Hij behaalde een Master in de Rechten aan de Vrije Universiteit Brussel en een Master of Laws (LL.M.) aan King&#8217;s College in Londen. Van 2012 tot 2014 was Mattias Academisch Assistent Europees Recht aan de Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
